Randy's Razor Collection: Rockwell 6S, M6, and Blackland

Continuing with the theme of the last few weeks, this week Randy talks about some of the more "heavy duty" razors in his collection. I'll let him tell you about these awesome tools for wet shaving as he is our resident expert, Research Esoterician, and a Dapper Gent in his own right.

Randy's Razor Collection: Rockwell 6S, M6, and Blackland

Rockwell 6C safety razor  The Rockwell 6 S stainless steel safety razor with 3 plates for 6 adjustable shaves. I prefer the number 3 to 5 plate settings for me. I do like the weight of the Rockwell and it seems to glide thru the beard with ease. My razor was machined in the first production run and they sent me an extra handle that will fit my other razor heads it is hard to beat a well-made stainless steel safety razor.
M6 build your own razor safety razor M6 “build your own” Timeless safety razor with the open and closed comb heads. The machining process on this stainless steel safety razor is flawless and I give the shave a 10. These razors are around $200, but well worth the price. You can choose two different blade gaps on this razor head. Their customer service was superb and you can actually speak to the builder. A true work of art if you desire to own a high end safety razor.
Blackland safety razor Here are two of my Blackland safety razors. Both razors are well machined and made from a high grade of sta8 less steel. The “Dart” double edge on the bottom will give you a moderate to aggressive shave. I like the “Dart” a lot and I was one of their first customers. If you desire a single-blade experience, Blackland now makes the “Vector” on the top. I have this razor with the open and closed comb heads. I use the feather or Schick injector blades with good success. I have tried several different blades with this razor and the feather injector blades seem to be the best for my beard type. Of course, it is all about experimenting to determine the best feel for your beard.
